About Simple & Elegant

Hi! I am a retired special education teacher and mother of two fine young men with a beading passion that has run amok!

Over the years I have been frustrated by the lack of variety and offerings at department stores and most dress shops. I could not afford ‘fine’ jewelry of gemstone quality, but I wanted to wear semi-precious gemstones…treasures from the earth. I did not want ART pieces, but pieces that would put a touch of ‘something more’ to my casual and elegance to my dressier occasions. As my bead collection grew and I began to wear my own jewelry, friends and family asked where I was finding these pieces. Then my dear husband wondered out loud just WHAT I was going to do with all my beads. Voila! Simple and Elegant was born!
